Album Info:The caboose may have long since vanished from the ends of mainline freight trains. Yet hundreds still survive to this day, whether in preservation or serving on smaller local freights and shortline operations.

Title:  EL C316
Description:  Part of the extensive equipment collection of the Leatherstocking Chapter NRHS, this former Erie car was one of fifty ordered from the International Car Company in 1953. Also operated by the Erie Lackawanna and Conrail, this caboose was at one point on display at Binghamton, NY before being moved east to the Chapter owned Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley Railway.

Title:  RR 10
Description:  Currently owned by the Tri-State Chapter NRHS, former Raritan River Railroad 10 began life in 1942, constructed by Pullman. Originally part of the New Haven Railroad's fleet, it was acquired by the New Jersey shortline after Penn Central absorbed the New Haven in 1969.

NHRR 575
Title:  NHRR 575
Description:  Built by the Magor Car Company in 1931, this caboose was part of a group of five ordered by the Lehigh & New England Railroad. Assigned number 575, it could be seen on the back of LNE freights until sale to the Northampton & Bath Railroad in 1960. It was renumbered as NB 102 and had the cupola removed. In the 1970s, it was acquired by the McHugh Bros., was renumbered 199, and spent the next few decades traveling around to different shortline railroads operated by the trucking company, including the New Hope & Ivyland, Shore Fast Line Railroad, and the Tyburn Railroad. Acquired back by the current New Hope & Ivyland Railroad, it is one of two wood sided LNE cabooses from Magor in the fleet, the two bearing consecutive numbers.

Description:  Built in 1916, this former Pennsy cabin has been moved from active rails to this community park for display. It seems as though the inside is still undergoing some restoration.

Title:  CR 23620
Description:  Situated along the old Maryland & Pennsylvania right of way, this former New Haven caboose has been preserved by the group restoring the old Red Lion station. Built as NH C634, it was one of those altered in the Penn Central era by covering the cupola windows in favor of a bay window replacement.

Title:  SIH 613
Description:  A new attraction at the Civil War themed Steam Into History ride is the newly refurbished "Party Caboose." Originally a Northern Pacific car, this caboose also passed through Burlington Northern service before coming to southern Pennsylvania.
