Description:
EV 1712 was built by EMD in 1950 for the Clinchfield Railroad as their 911. Originally constructed as a GP-7 model, it would later be rebuilt by the Seaboard Coast Line in the early 1980s into its current configuration. Designated as a GP16, the locomotive came to Blair County in 2002.
