Two RDC-9s from the Boston area are seen in storage on an old freight siding. The B&M was the only railroad that this model of RDC was built for, using it for their extensive Boston area commuter service. For these two to sit out in the open like this without a scratch is amazing as this town has given the CMSL problems in the past. |

Boston & Maine was the only railroad to order the RDC-9 from Budd. These units were basically an RDC-1 without engineer controls, just an engine to provide extra power for the train that could be controlled from the other units. |
