Built in 1952, it is one of two locomotives to showcase this look in York County today, the other being MPA 82, another SW-9 preserved at the Ma & Pa Railroad Preservation Society site at Muddy Creek Forks. |

Built in 1952 as Pennsylvania Railroad 8528, the locomotive also passed through Penn Central and Conrail ownership. It arrived at the museum in 2006 and still wears its faded but fully intact Conrail blue and white, a rarity for locomotives in 2016. |
