Contoocook Depot
Constructed by B&M predecessor Concord & Claremont Railroad in 1850, the depot came under the control of the "Route of the Minuteman" about thirty seven years later. Serving as a gateway to the rest of the country by rail for passegners until 1955, the line still saw freight trains until the early 1960s. Althought no more trains pass, the depot now serves as a museum to share the exciting history of the railroad in this part of the Granite State.
