This chop nose GP10 started life in 1956 as a high hooded GP-9 for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway. Originally C&O 6080, it was rebuilt to its present configuration by the Hllinois Central Gulf, the faded markings of which can still be seen on the nose and sides of the unit. |

First train to come through here since the last snowfall, PREX 1755 has quite a bit of the white stuff on the pilot from the last few grade crossings. It is fitting that the railroad running through apple country would have a cab unit with a red nose. |
