NJT 4876 |
Description: |
Seen from the passing excursion train, still in former Conrail and New Jersey Transit markings, is former PRR 4876 next to the museum restoration shop. This was the GG-1 that crashed in Washington Union Station and was subsequently rebuilt at Altoona before going on to provide service until the 1980s. It is truly a testament to the work and quality that went into constructing these great machines. |

Paitently awaiting its turn in the restoration shop. Seen from the platform down the hill from the Mount Clare Mansion while awaiting the train back to the museum. This is the second of two GG-1s found on this trip. |
